Beijing is known as a city of close monitoring, politically and socially. With the arrival of the winter Olympics 2022, its become even more of an issue. Athletes on arrival are expected to use the My 2022 official Chinese app, to monitor their health during the Olympics.

The problem with the app? Well, it’s only just made the FBI list of applications that citizens should be hesitant against installing. All participants have been urged to leave their personal cell phones at home.

The FBI has officially warned people that downloading and using apps from inside China have the opportunity to steal personal information, or install tracking tools to monitor what you do, or even malware, to obtain sensitive information.
